The independent Charities Seal of Excellence is awarded to the members of Independent Charities of America and Local Independent Charities of America that have, upon rigorous independent review, been able to certify, document, and demonstrate on an annual basis that they meet the highest standards of public accountability, program effectiveness, and cost effectiveness.
AYA is committed to ensuring low administrative costs and fiscal accountability. We guarantee that 93% of every donation reaches our partners in the developing world. 7% of each donation is retained to cover operational costs like wire transfer fees, postage, and office supplies. Other operational monies are raised separately through donations given specifically for this purpose. AYA has an annual audit that is available upon request. We have been awarded the Best in America seal from Independent Charities of America as seen below.
